State agency resources

FINET overview

FINET is the financial management system used by the state for accounting, budget control, and reporting. Most state agencies in the state of Utah use FINET in some capacity.

FINET is available Monday-Saturday 7 am - 8 pm and Sunday 7 am - 6 pm, including holidays. FINET may not be available on the 2nd weekend of each month due to system maintenance.

DTS Help Desk provides limited assistance during evenings and weekends. Call DTS Help Desk at 801-538-3440 or toll free 1-800-678-3440.

Provide as much detail as possible about the issue you are experiencing:

  • Transaction

Live chat

We also have a live chat option on our finance support home page. We recommend using this for a short question where details and supporting images wouldn’t be needed to find that answer. For example, the question, “what department do I touch base with for my timecard?” would be a good one for the chat option.

The quality assurance team conducts internal testing of all systems supported by Financial Information Systems. Its primary responsibility is to ensure that all modifications made to those systems are adequately tested before changes are allowed to move to production environments.

The team also provides business process, system analysis, and design support to the Division of Finance and requesting state agencies. This includes direction, support, and testing when departments develop transactions/data to be sent via interface to the Division of Finance systems.

The Quality Assurance supervisor is Daron Funn. For more information, contact our finance support center: financesupport.utah.gov.
